The Governor is pleased to communicate to this House the follow-
ing Message
Gentlemen of the upper House of Assembly
Herewith I send you a Letter that was sent to me by one of his
Majesty's principal Secretary's of State, and another that I lately
received from Admiral Holbourne by which you will perceive that
we are called upon to furnish a Number of Seamen for the Fleet
that his Majesty has been graciously pleased to order to America
for our Protection, I must recommend it to you to take this Matter
immediately into Consideration, and I hope you will as far as in you
lies enable me to comply with the Admiral's Request
