      LiberB No. 1    of) f or the Rt honble the Lord Proprietor to the quantity of Doble
               the taxes f or the true officiating the Sherriffes office for this County
               & send it over to the Rt honble the Leiuta Generall
                The reason wherefore this is entered before the proceedings on
               tuesday last is because of the hast of Sending over the Conveyance
               Signed by mr Revell

         [p. 131] Know all men by these presents that I George Johnson of the
               County of Sommersett in the Province of Maryland Sherriffe Doe
               by vertue of A pattent from the Leiuta Generall of the Said Province
               to me granted f or the high Sherriffs office in the County of Sommer
               sett aforesaid Authorize Depute & appointe George Hossfoord of
               the County & province aforesaid Cirugion to be my under Sherriffe to
               execute 211 writts Summons execucons nr other writings belonging
               to the high Sherriffe to execute but not to receiue any dues whatsoever
               tht belongs to the high Sherrife to receiue; In Wittnes whereof I haue
               hereunto set my hand & scale the 29th day of Septemr A° 1668

               Courte the day & year aboue written

       At A Courte held for the County of Sommersett the 29th day of
       September in the 37th year of the Dominion of the Rt honble

               with to his Lopps the web he accordingly had Inclosed the Sd bussnes
               in paper Sealed up & directed to the Leiuta Generall of the province
               of maryland in order to the Sending the packett as aforesd did Com
               mand Daniell Curtis in the Name of the Rt honble the Lord Pro
               prietor to carry it to Captaine Marsh to Wiccocomoco the wch Com
               mands the Said Daniell Curtis refused to obey the wch Contempt I
               leaue to yor worplls to Consider of
