   Know All men by these presents that I William Hopkins of the Liber B No. 1
  river of Seavearne in Anne Arrundell County plantor being in the
  province of Maryland by virtue of A Letter of Attorney from
  Thomas Cooper of the Citty of Bristoll Marriner administrator to
  Tho: Freeman late of Bristoll marcht deceased; Doe by these pres
  ents Acknowlege to haue recd of mr Randall Revell of Sothersett [p. 127]
  County in the province aforesaid gent: A parcell or quantity of goods
  or Marchandizes left at the decease of the Said Tho: Freeman aforesd
  at the time of his decease & now since being appraysed (at the house
  of mr Randall Revell where the Said Tho: Freeman kept his store in
  the County of Sommersett) by appraysers appointed by the Rt honble
  Charles Calvert Leiuta Generall & Judge For administracons Dated
  the 17th day of September 1668 the appraysers being Sworne before
  Capta Will Thorne according to Commission & afterwards appraysed
  to the full Sume or quantity of fifteene thousand three hundred &
  foureteene pounds of tobacco as a!soe ten shillings in Money sterl
  ing & one New England Shilling as a!soe a servt (by Name Dennis
  Holland) if a servant but supposed free, & vallued if a servant at
  one thousand five hundred pounds of tobacco this I the Said William
  Hopkins Doe acknowledge to haue reed of Randall Revell aforesaid
  at his house in Manonoakin in the County of Sommersett as wittnes
  my hand & seale this 22th day of September 1668

  for foureteene thousand three hundred thirty two pounds of tob: &
  upon the back Side ack two hundred pounds of tob: by a bill from
  the Leiuta generall with this provisoe in the bill of 14332lb not to
  prveflt the Sd Randall Revell of his expences funerall charges and
  disburssmts & trouble of Tho: Freeman the bill dated the 23d Scmbr
  1668

   You are hereby authorized to take of Randall Revell A Conveyance
  of Soe much Land as he thinke fitt to Grant to his Lopp: for the
  use of the Contry at Deepe pointe, & when he hath donne the Same
  the Same you lay out in streetes for A Towne according to your dis
  cretion & Certificatt thereof with platt of the Same you Send to me
  with all Conveniente Speede given under my hand the day & year
  abouesaid        Signed by the Rt honble Charles Calvert
  recorded at the request of mr George Johnson
