  pvince of Maryland the Day & yeare aboue written teste
                      Edm Beauchamp Clrke to the Court

   To All whome these prsents shall Come greeting Knowe yee tht
  I Ambros London of the Countie of Sommersett plantor for the
  valluable Consideracon allready reed before the signeing & sealing
  hereof doe hereby bargaine & make sale of a red pied Cowe aboute
  five yeares old Comonly Called by the Name of Rose marked as foll,
  vizt, being a duffe tayle in each ear & in each ear one slitt unto Wil
  liam Canneday of the aforesaid Countie plantor To have and to hold
  use receiue & Inioye the said Cowe with her Increase for ever unto
  the aforesaid William Canneday his heires & assignes freely peace
  ably & quietly without any manner of reclaime Challendge or Con
  tratradiction of me the said Ambros London my heires executrs or as
  signes or of any other person or persons by my meanes title or pcuremt
  in any manner or wayes & without any accompt reckoning or answer
  therefore to me or any in my Name to be given rendred or donne
  in time to come but from all accon of Right title Claime Interest use
  possession & demand thereof I the said Ambros London my heires
  executrs or assignes to be utterly excluded & for ever debarred And I [p. 74]
  the said Ambros London my heires executrs & admrs the good sale of
  the said Cowe unto the aforesaid William Canneday his heires or
  assignes shall warrant by these prsents In Wittnes whereof I haue
  hereunto set my hand & seale this 28th May 1667
