652 Somerset County Court Proceedings, 1665-1668. Liber B No. 1 Orders agreed upon by the Comrs of Sommersett Countie this 17th of January 1666/67 Present Mr William Stevens Capt: William Thorne mr James Jones Mr John Winder mr Henry Boston Mr George Johnson & mr Steven Horsse high sherriffe Imprimus That A Tract of Land in the most Conveniente place for the whole Countie to be taken up for the Counties use & a house to be builded thereupon 2ly That the Comrs according to Act of Assembly & the Court being setting not any one Comrs to depart without leaue of the Court upon penalty of tenne pounds of tobacco for every houre being absent That at every Court after the Causes are all dispatch upon ad iournmt of the Court the orders of tht prsent Court to be reveiwed by the Commissionrs then to be entered according to their direction The high way for the Countie of Sommersett From the Landing place upon Capt Goyeders Land in Pocomoke river to Morumsco Dambs neare the house of Robert Hignett & from thence downe to the head of Thomas Prices Creeke to the head of William Colebornes Creeke And from the head of Will Colebornes Creeke to Wattkins pointe From the Dambs tht lyeth by Robert Hig netts to the Lower Dambs tht lyeth at the head of Anamessicke river from thence to the Lower Dambs tht lyeth at the head of the back Creeke of Manonoakin river And from thence to the head of Mano noakin river & from thence to the head of Wiccocomoco Creeke [p. 45] The bounds of Pocomoke Hundred Pocomoke river & the eastermost side of Morumsco Creeke to Morumsco Dambs The bounds of Anamessick Hundred Anamessicke beginninge at Watkins pointe running to the Mouth of Morumsco Creeke up the westermost side of the said Creeke to Morumsco Dambs & from Watkins pointe to the North pointe of Anamessicke river & from thence runninge the middest of tht Nick of Land Called desert The bounds of Manonoakin Hundred Manonoakin beginning at the North pointe of Anamessicke river running up the Middest of the said Nick called desert on the North side And from the North pointe of Anamessicke to the North pointe of Manonoakin runninge up the Middest of tht Nick of Land Lyeing |
