Liber BB Primisses Considered yor Petticoń humbly Craues that he may haue No. 2 sattis faction According to Law and yor Petticofl as in duty bound Shall Euer pray The Plat proueing his Declaration by the Oathes of John Gruff with and Elizabeth his wife The Courtt hath ordred that Jane the Wife of Leonard Daniell haue thirty Lasshes well laide on her Bare Back by the sheriffe or his deputie for the tht She wrongfully defamed Kathrin the Wife of Thomas Emerson and pay Cost of Suit Uppon the Submishon of the said Jane & for tht the said Jane upon her knees did aske Thomas and Kathrin Emerson forgiuenes for hir fault and did Accknowledg She had wrongfully abused the fore said Kathrin and tht She was Sory for abussing her the sd Kathrin all wch dunn in presents of the Courtt: Therefore the Court hath Re leased the Jane from hir Corporall punishment [p. —] Thomas Emerson Plat In a Plea of Casse Mr Will: Hambleton Defft To the Worshipll Comissc of Talbott County the humble Pettcon of Thomas Emerson Sheweth tht aboute Two yeares agoe yor Petticoń did sue in this Courtt Mr Jn° Welch for Thirteen hundred and Fifteen pounds of Tobacoe and tht then Mr Wittm Hambleton did Assume uppon himselfe to pay the Debt But yor Petticoń is as yett unsattisfied part of this debt the Primisses Considered yor petticoń Craues an Order for what is due and yor Petticon shall euer pray Mr Willm Hambleton Confeseth to pay Thomas Emerson Three hundred Sixty Sixe pound of Tobacoe the Courtt hath ordred mr Hamblton to pay unto the said Thomas Emerson Robert Bryan Plat In a Plea of Defamacon Teressi Arnald Defft Talbott County ss: Terassas Arnald of this County was Attached to Answeare Robert Bryan in a Plea of defamacon Whereas the said Robert by his Arthur Wright his Attorney Complaineth that whereas the said Deffendt Seuerall Times this somer Last Past hath Endeured falsly and Maliciously to Scandalize and Slander the said Plat whereby to take away his good Name and Creditt Contrary to the good Lawes of this Prouince & the Rule and dignitie of the Lord Proprietary by Malisciously Saying and Endeuoring to Perswade seuerall of the good Pople of this County to beleeue tht the said Plat hath Lyne with her and had the Corporall knowledge of hir seuerall tims Now the Plat Being at present a Single person and upon his preferment and Indeuoring to Attaine a Wife and to liue soberly and in the Peace of the Lord Proprietary as aforesaid thrugh the Scandall and |
