238Kent County Court Proceedings, 1668-1671. Liber C This day Philliop the Sonn of Philliop Connor late of this Couiity Deceased aged about fourteene yeares came into Court and made choise of mr John Wright to be his guardian and requireth this Court soc to order it this Court takeing it into Consideration doth order that the said mr Wright may be his guardian & to performe the part of a guardian by the said Philliop according as the law doth require Philip Connor CPt Jon Vickerice Plant in ann acction of the Casse Two depositions Toby Wells Defendt taken one the part of the plaint: The de fendt requireth ann apeale to the next prouentiall Court to be holden for this Prouince wch the Court doth grant and doth order that the Defendt shall giue in Security to pay trebell Damage in Casse he be Cast in the Seut &c Edmond Burton plant in ann acction of a Casse of debt wch he de John Browne Defendtf maunds being dew upon acc° to the Sume of three hundred & sixty pounds of Tobacco & Caske the defendt accknowledgeth the Debt to be dew thearfore this Court doth order present payment Cost of Seut Elc Exeqtion &c George Gouldhauk plaint in ann acction of the Casse wheareupon Mr John vickerice defendt the defendt required it might be tried by a Jury wch this Court doth grant & ordered the shereffe to Impanell a Jury The Juriors names Charles Steuard Peter Seale John meconicon John Ereckson Allexandr Thourson - John maggisson John Trew Frances Finch Marke Benton Robt Kcnt William Granger J Thomas Southcrn Thes Jury Receueued there Charge on thes illegible Gent of this Jury yow shall dilligenly and treuly Enquery make into this business now depending betwext mr George Gouidhauk plaint and mr John Vickerice defendt without partiallity fauor or mallace or any other by respect but to the best of yor Conteons dilliuer in yor Judgment according to Euidence Soc help yow god &c The Juryes varditt as fott The varditt of the Jury is that mr vickerice shall pay unto Georg Gouldhouk for 31 dayes worke 620lb tobb for a Casse of Drinke 200 for prouisions 310 Sonic 1130 By Charles steward Foreman Wheareupon thes Court doth order that the said mr Jon Vickerice shall pay unto the said mr Georg Gouldhauke the Some of one thou- |
