Sarah Tailer Complaineth to the Maiestrate mr Joseph wickes of [fol. 6o]
diuers wronges & abuses giuen her by her Mair & Mrs Capt Thomas
Bradnox & Mary his wife And upon the same was committed into the Sarah Tailor Complaineth vers.
Constables costody to conuey to Capt Vaughan for further examina- Capt Tho Bradnox
Con, or to her Maister if shee ware willinge to returne, wth her
free consent the Constable Hen: Gott deliuered her to her Maister
till the next Court followinge And then Capt Bradnox did promise
to stand to tryall wthout further somons or writt
Joh white beinge Examined on the behalfe of the Serut Sarah
Tailer, on the Complaint mayd doth affirme in Court on oath That he
can Testifie nothinge in this matter affirmatiuely for the Plant in this
Cause.
John Jenkins sworne in Court Examined saith That he neuer saw
Capt Bradnox or his wife strike his Serut Sarah Tailer wth either
Bulls pisle or Rope but he saw the sd Sarah haue a blacke place crosse
one of her shoulders & this Depont heard her MTS giue her som bad
words And this is what yor Depont doth affirme to the best of his
knowledge.
Tobias wells on oath saith that he saw Sarah Tailer Stript & on
her backe he saw seuerall blacke spotts and on her Arme a great blacke
spott about as broad as his hand, And Further saith not.
Mr Joseph wickes doth Informe the Court that Mrs Mary Bradnox
broake the peace in strikeinge her Sarut before him beinge a Maies
trate, And on the time when the sd Sarut was there to make her Com
plaint wch the sd mr wickes could not in Justice passe by or suffer,
wch was one blow or stroke wth a Ropes ende.
Katteren Gamer beinge brought into this Court as a Testimony for
Capt Bradnox Plt against John Deere Deft the Deft doth except
