On Reading the second Time the Bill, entituled, An Act for
Regulating the Militia, &c. the Question was put, Whether the
Clause, which prevents the present Military Officers from Resigning
their Commissions without being compelled to serve as private
Men after such Resignation, be Altered, or Not? Resolved in the
Negative.
