The Governor is pleased to communicate to this House his Answer
to their Address
Gentlemen of the upper House of Assembly :
I have long been convinced that none are more anxious than your-
selves to promote his Majesty's Service, or the safety, and Welfare

of Maryland; and it gives me the greatest Satisfaction to find by
your obliging Address, that my Endeavours to discharge my Duty
to his sacred Majesty, meet with your Approbation.
