the Bill entituled, An Act for the speedy and effectual Publication
of the Laws of this Province, &c. indorsed, By the Upper House of
Assembly, May 20, 1756. Read the second Time, and will pass.

Benedict Calvert, Esq; from the Upper House, delivers to M.r
Speaker the Bill entituled, A further Supplementary Act to an Act
entituled, An Act for quieting Possessions, enrolling Conveyances,
&c. indorsed, By the Upper House of Assembly, May 20, 1756.
Read the second Time, and will pass, with the following Amend-
ment: Leave out the first 16 Lines in the Bill, and to the Word
aforesaid in the 17th Line, and insert the following, [Whereas no
other than Deeds of Bargain and Sale are comprised within the Act
of Assembly, For quieting Possessions, enrolling Conveyances, and
securing the Estates of Purchasers: Be it therefore Enacted, by the
Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary, by and with the Advice
and Consent of his Lordship's Governor, and the Upper and Lower
Houses of Assembly, and the Authority of the same.]

and delivers to M.r Speaker a Bill entituled, An Act to impower the
Justices of the several County Courts, to make Provision for the
late Inhabitants of Nova-Scotia, and for Regulating their Conduct ;
which was read the first Time, and ordered to lie on the Table.
