By the Lower house of Assembly 21st May 1756
May it Please your Honours
As it appears to this house that there is a Want of Books Paper
Parchment and Ink powder for the necessary use of the Publick
Therefore in Order that such necessary may be Provided in the
easiest and best manner We propose that the Treasurer of the
Western Shore be Ordered to send for them to the Amount of
Thirty pounds Sterling and that they be paid for by Mr William
Hunt Merchant in London out of the money in his hands due to this
Province with which we desire your honours Concurrence

The following Message is sent to the Lower house by Colo Tasker
By the Upper house of Assembly 21st May 1756
Gentlemen
This house Agrees that the Treasurer of the Western Shore send
to England for the use of the Publick for Books Paper Parchment
and Ink powder to the Amount of Thirty pounds Sterling and that
Mr Hunt be directed to pay for the same out of the Publick money
Lodged in his hands for the use of this Province
