of the Parish of St James's in Ann Arundel County Praying the
bounds may be Settled between their Parish and the Parish of

Read the Petition of Nathan Hammond Sheriff of Ann Arundel
County Praying a wall may be brought in to Raise the Walls of the
Publick Prison four or five feet higher than they are at present;
and the Petition of the Rector Vestrymen and Churchwardens and
others Inhabitants of St Johns Parish in Baltimore County Praying
leave to bring in a Bill to Assess the Parishioners of the said Parish
with a Sum of Current Money to build a Chappel of Ease and

other purposes therein mentioned; Referred to the Consideration of
the Lower house and Sent by Samuel Chamberlain Esq.r
Read the Second time the Bill Entituled an Act to prevent dis-
abled and Superannuated Slaves being Set free or the Manumission
of Slaves by any Last Will and Testament and will Pass with the
following Amendments, the words, from and after the first day of
September next, to be left out, in the 12th Line of the 3d Page
between the words, that, & such, insert the following words, such
Deed and writing be not in prejudice of Creditors and that, Sent
to the Lower house by Edmund Jenings Esq.r
Two Bills from the Lower house by Messrs Harrison and Ridgley
One Entituled an Act impowering the Justices of the County Courts
within this Province to lay and assess on the Taxable Inhabitants
of their Countys such necessary Charges as have arisen or shall
arise on the Special Commissions of Oyer and Terminer and Goal
