And be it likewise Enacted, That all that Part of an Act of As-
sembly of this Province entituled, An Act to encourage the destroy-
ing of Wolves, Crows, and Squirrels, made at a Session of Assembly
begun and held at the City of Annapolis the third Day of October,
One thousand seven hundred twenty and eight, so far as relates to
the Allowance of two Pounds of Tobacco for every Scalp of a
Squirrel, or every Crow Head, to be killed in the Counties of St.
Mary's, Anne Arundel, Charles, Prince George's Calvert, Freder-
ick, Somerset, and Worcester, over and above the Number of three
Squirrels Scalps, or Crows Heads, to be produced yearly by every
taxable Person in the said Counties, be and is hereby annulled, abro-
gated, and made void; the said recited Act, or any Thing therein
contained, or any other Law, to the contrary thereof in any wise
notwithstanding.

And be it further Enacted, That it shall and may be lawful for
the several and respective Inhabitants of such Counties within this
Province, wherein any Allowance shall be made in Tobacco for
Squirrel Scalps or Crows Heads in such County Levy, to pay and
discharge the said several and respective Sums of Tobacco in Current
Money, in the same Manner as they are enabled to pay and discharge
the Public or County Levy.

This Act to continue for three Years, and unto the End of the
next Session of Assembly which shall happen after the Expiration
of three Years.

No. 10 An Act directing the former Sheriffs of the several Counties within
this Province, their Heirs, Executors, or Administrators, to ac-
count with the Justices of the several County Courts for the
Tobacco therein mentioned.
Be it Enacted by the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary, by
and with the Advice and Consent of his Lordship's President, and
the Upper and Lower Houses of Assembly, and the Authority of the
same, That the several and respective Sheriffs, by whom the Tobacco,
has been collected, in Pursuance of an Order of Council, dated the
thirteenth Day of September, Seventeen hundred forty and tour,
their Heirs, Executors, or Administrators, shall, and they are
hereby required and directed to account with and pay to the Justices
of the several and respective County Courts within this Province,
where the same was collected, the One Pound of Tobacco per Poll
