     to haue calfes by their sides, And tht the sd Haywood did att the same Liber F F
     time aforsd giue order unto the sd Nottley to send for the sd Cowes
     to the sd Haywoods Plantaon on St Clemts mannor, And the sd Nott
     ley did in pursuance of the sd Order send this Depont for the sd Cowes,
     And att this Deponts comming to the Plantaon of the sd Haywood,
     The sd Haywood did only shew him this Depont a small heifer wch
     this depont did iudge was not calf e, And did only say hee would
     some time afterward looke for other Cowes to pay the sd Nottley, &
     further sayth not.

       Richard Coliett Admistrator of the Estate of ffrancis Riggs came [p. 691
     in open Court, & confesseth Judgmt for both those Bills due to
     Andrew Skinner, That is to say, The one for Three Thowsd pownds
     of Tob. & the other for Two Thowsd pownds of Tob. To the wch hee
     was Ordered to giue in his answere. Vid. fol. 66.

     Hierome Whyte plf The plf by his Attorney produceth a Bill of
     Rich: Collett, Admr ffrancis Riggs for 450£ Tob. The deft ac
       of if r: Riggs deft knowledgeth the Bill, But sayth hee hath all-
     ready payd away all the Estate of the Deceased, whose adthistrator
     hee is, And tht hee hath not Assetts enough in his hands to satisfy
     that Debt claymed.

       The Grand Jury came into Court, being agreed uppon seuerall
     Bills, And declared tht they were contented tht the Board should
     amend all false writings or misforme in the sd Bills, wch are as
     followeth/
       Lett it bee enquyred for the Rt honble thc Lord Propr whyther
     Maquamps alias Bennett an Indian of Mattawoman in Charles Iditemt
     County on the 17th day of August last past att the howse of Agatha
     Langworth of St Johns in the County aforesd spinster, uppon John
     Langworth the sonne of the sd Agatha Langworth by force and
     Armes an Assault did make, & the head of the sd John did cutt of,
     And allso whither the sd Maquamps alias Bennett uppon Lucy Good
     hauing the head of the sayd John under his Arme, att the howse of
     the sd Agatha a Tomahauke an assault did make, Gyuing her a
     dangerous wound in her head, & soe whither the sd Maquamps by
     cutting of his head the sd John Langworth att the place aforesd on the
     day aforesd in manner & forme aforesd feloniously & of malice fore
     thought did kill & murther, against the peace of his Lp his rule & dig
     nity, And whither Chotyke of the Towne & County aforesd were
