                    44        Provincial Court Proceedings, 1663.

               Liber B B    about Three miles aboue St Leonards Creeke, & Called the lland,
                    Contayning ffifty Acres by Suruey more or lesse, Wth all & Euery
                    part & parcell thereof wth the appurtãnces thereto belonging. To
                    haue & to hold tW same unto him the sd Richard Hall his heyres &
                    assignes for euer, Yeilding & paying yearely according as is speci
                    fyed in the sd Graunt one shilling in money sterl to the Ld Propr &
                    his heyres, Soe tht neyther hee the sd Mathew Stone, nor his heyres,
                    nor any by from or under him or them shall or may haue or chal
                    lenge any Right or Tytle in or to the sd Iland, or any part or parcell
                    thereof: But shall bee hereby excluded & barred by uertue of these
                    prnts for euer. In wittnes whereof the sd Mathew Stone hath here
                    unto putt his hand & Seale this Eigth day of Septembr 1663.

                      This Day came Mathew Stone & acknowledgeth Deliuery & Seazin
                    of the afore specifyed Land being an Iland unto Richard Hall & his
                    heyres & assignes in open Court

                      Know all men by these prnts tht I Robert King mariner of London
                    doe appoynt & ordaine my louing & trusty ffreind Mr Nicholas
                [p. 48]     Gwyther of the Prouince of Maryland my true & lawfull Atturney
                    for mee & in my name for mee & in my name to demand sue for,
                    recouer and receaue all & Euery Debt or sumes of Tob. unto mee due.
                    And doe allso giue unto my sd Attorney my whole power & authority
                    uppon the receipt of any such Debts to giue acquittances or discharges
                    for mee & in my name, as lawfully done by mee & for my use, as
                    wittnes my hand this 28th day of Aprill 1663         Robert R King

                    Robt King pr  lf The plf demandeth of the deft according
               Vid. Lib Attor: Ni: Gwyth p to Order last Prouinciall Court 1900£ &
               1662 fol. Willm Greene deft Cask, wch cause was then Respited the
                 117 defts Wife then alleaging tht shee had a discharge for tht Debt, &
             Vid. infra thereuppon brought the same now, & shewed it in Court, sd dis
             fol. 57 & charge was scrupled by the Board the plf alleaging tht the same was
                    forged by her as hee is able to proue.
                      George Marshall sayth uppon oath tht a Seruant Boy of Elizabeth
                    Greenes did acknowledge to him tht hee writt the Receipt or dis
                    charge now produced in Court, & told this Depont further tht it
                     would stand in noe force, And tht shee caused him to write it.
                      Willm Ashbishton sayth uppon oath that comparing this writing
                    or Receipt wth other the Boys writings, hee really belieues this to
                    bee the Boys owne writing.
