Provincial Court Proceedings, 1664. 319 Whereupon Ordered that the said seruant be forthwth appraysed, Liber B B Mr William Dorrington and Mr George Mackall being Sworne Ap praysers to giue in theire Report what in theire Judgmts the said serut might be worth hauing 2 yeares to serue, and as by them Ordered to be disposed off to some other prson the buyer paying her att the ex piracon of the said seruants seruitude her Corne and Cloathes Which Appraysmt of theirs being deliuered into Court they Judg'd her to be worth att the most one thowsand pounds of tobacco Ordered it be soe Entred— The Court Adjournes untill tomorrow morning att 9 of the Clocke All mett as before being the 22th day of Decembr 1664 wth Mr White [p. 392] Cornelius Howard being summoned by the sherriffe of Ann Arun deli County downe to this Prouinciall Court uppon the Jury for tryall of Criminalls Who did not appeare according to summons There fore Ordered that the said Howard be fined according to the Act of Assembly in that Case prouided Reymond Staplefort Richard Smyth and Isaack Abrahams being likewise summoned by the sherriffe of Caluert County upon the lury and they not appearing according to summons Therefore Ordered that the said Reymond Staplefort Richard Smyth and Jsaack ABrahams be allsoe fined according to the Act of Assembly in that Case prouided John Gittings the Attorney of The plt: sues in petn in folio 362 Margarite Perry Plaintiffe— and 363—letter of Attorney in folio Mary Bateman the Executrix 360—Likewise producing the said of Jno Bateman Defendt John Batemans Bond for 2000lb sterling wth an attestacon under the Lord Mayors seale of the witt nesses prouff therein which is as followeth uizt) Norint vinntsi per pntes me Johannem Bateman Ciuem et Haberd London Teneri et firthr obligari Margaretts Perry de Thorpe in Com Surrey Hidne in Duobus Mille libris legalis monete Anglie solüend eidem Margaretta Perry aut eius Certo atturnat execut. administrat. uel Assignaf suis Ad quam quidem solutüem bene et fidetr faciend Obligo me hered execut et Administrat meos firthr per prtes sigill meo sigill Dat Decimo quarto die Augustij, Aflo Dñi (stilo Anglie) Millesimo Sexcentesimo quadragesimo Nono— Sigill et deliberat John Bateman in pntia mei— Ricardi Duke Scr Merg Tho: Goodwin serut |
