of Samuel Chase Esqr six Blank Commissions, Bonds and Instruc-
tions, three of the six have been issued. I now transmit you the
Bonds taken in 1781 with a List thereof, and request you will send
a further Supply. It will be necessary that the Supply be more ample
than heretofore, as there will be a very great Demand for them

Friday 8th March 1782

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Richard Potts
Esqr forty two pounds, seven Shillings and seven pence of the Bills
emitted under the Act for the Emission of Bills of Credit &ca due
him for a Journal Certificate of October Session 1780 adjusted &
passed. —

That the said Treasurer pay to Kensey Hardy nine pounds, eleven
Shillings and eight pence of the same Emission due him per Account
passed. —

That the said Treasurer pay to Mount joy Bailey three hundred &
twenty four pounds one shilling of the same Emission due him as
Capt in the Extra Regt & also one hundred and fourteen pounds
seven shillings & six pence of the same Emission per Accts passed —

That the said Treasurer pay to Capt Edward Oldham thirty pounds
of the same Emission in lieu of a Suit of Cloaths & 4 Shirts for the
present Year on Account —

Francis Deakins Esquire appointed Examiner General, produced a
Certificate of his Qualification and the same filed. —

Saturday 9th March 1782

Charles McDonald who was Draughted from the Militia of Charles
County in July 1781 to serve 'till the 10th of December is hereby
Discharged and also Edward Jenkins senr who was a Substitute from
Montgomery County to serve the term aforesaid is Discharged. —

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Capt James
Thomas for the use of Nicholas Thomas Esqr, one hundred and
twenty five pounds of the Bills emitted under the Act for the Emis-
sion of Bills of Credit &ca for a Quarter's Salary on Account and also
one hundred and thirty four pounds, eight shillings and nine pence
of the same Emission due him on a Certificate issued agreeable to the
Act to adjust the Debts due from this State

That the said Treasurer pay to James Robinson fourteen pounds
of the same Emission the bounty allowed for manufacturing one
hundred and forty Bushels of Salt per Account passed. —
