property of Philip Coale without Notice and for a pretended Debt
for which said Coale had a Receipt in full : — in executing the prop-
erty of William Coale Junr, without giving him any Notice of the
Demand : — in taking illegal fees from a Free mulato man who was
warranted for 1 1/2 Bushels of Wheat:— in executing the property
of John Morgan and Isaiah Balderson when he was in their Debt : —
in taking a flock of Sheep from Benja Warner for the trifling Sum
of five shillings. —

Charges against John Love, William Smithson and William Bond

1st of Malversation in Office; particularly in their proceedings on
a Charge made by William Williams against Rebecca Thomas for
Stealing Flax. —

Charges against Thomas Johnson

1st That he is a Common Drunkard, and is often Drunk in Court.
2d Of Malversation in Office; particularly in his Conduct in the
Case between John Patrick and a Number of the Inhabitants of
Harford County respecting an old road which they opened and
which had been stopt by said Patrick without Authority: — And in
a Case between William Hopkins Junior and a person against whom
he had commenced two Actions, upon which the Depositions of
Witnesses residing out of the State were taken at the request of the
Defendant, before Mr Johnson. —

Charges against John Patrick one of the Justices of Harford County

1st That he is a common Drunkard; that he hath been so Drunk
whilst on the Seat of Justice as to fall from his Seat upon the floor,
and not be able to rise without Assistance : that he is often so drunk
as not to know what he signs whilst on the Seat of Justice.
2d That he is very Ignorant and illeterate, and of a most infamous
Character : that he is so common a Liar that neither his word nor his
most solemn Oath is credited where he is Well known.
3d That he hath been guilty of false swearing against John Harris
a peaceable Youth; and against William Hopkins, William Hopkins
Junr, Samuel Harris Robert Gover, and Samuel Gover.
4th That he frequents scandalous tipling houses.
5th That he is wholly under the Influence of one Allender for-
merly a Constable, who is represented to be so great a Villain that his
equal scarcely exists. —
6th Of Malversation in Office: particularly in rendering Judg-
ment and issuing Execution against John Harris when he was not
present : — in rendering Judgment and issuing Execution for Robert
Bodkin against negro Sam : — in rendering Judgment for Elias Bailey
against Cuthbert Warner : — in rendering Judgment and issuing Exe-
cution against John Litton: — in rendering Judgment and issuing
