[Council to Honble Intendant]
General Smallwood has made Application to this Board for four
Waggons and Teams, to transport the Baggage of the Troops to
the Southern Army. He also informs us that, the Troops at this
Place, are not furnished with Soap, Candles or Paper; and that
the Articles contained in the enclosed List, are absolutely necessary
for the Officers who are Left here to discipline the Men. We request
you to take Measures for procuring the whole, as early as possible,
on account of the United States. Should any of the Waggons and
Horses in the Possession of Mr Bullen, be fit for Service, you will,
no Doubt, make Use of them, instead of hiring or purchasing others.
