That the said Treasurer pay to Margaret Tippet widow of Peter
Tippet a soldier of the 3d Maryland Regiment and Catharine Dunna-
gan widow of John Dunnagan of the 4 Maryland Regiment deceased
each, five pounds of the same Emission allowed them by this Board
on Account
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt John Smith thirty pounds
of the same Emission in lieu of a suit of Cloaths & four shirts for
the year 1781, on Account
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt Rezin Davis twenty five
pounds for a Suit of Cloaths and two shirts for 1781 in lieu of an
Order on the Commissary of Stores of the 21 September 1781 on
Account
Doctr John L Elbert appointed Surgeons Mate to the fifth Regi-
ment to commence the 1st of January 1782. —
Whereas the Board on the 23d March 1781 ordered that James
Calhoun Esqr should deliver to William Smith Esqr five hundred and
eighteen Barrels of Merchantable flour for so much seized from him
as Agent for the Marine of France which order is returned with a
Certificate from Mr Calhoun that he has Delivered only one hundred
and fifty two Barrels weighing three hundred and twelve hundred,
one Quarter and twenty six pounds to William Smith and which
order is indorsed to Messrs Ridley & Pringle Agents for the Marine
of France By Mr Smiths Account the five hundred and eighteen
barrels weighed eleven hundred and twenty nine hundreds and fifteen
pounds of which three hundred and sixty three barrels weighing
seven hundred and eighty hundreds, two quarters and fifteen pounds
were seized by the Commissioners of Baltimore Town in said Town
in the Hands of John Smith & George Matthews eighty barrels
weighing one hundred and eighty hundreds in Kent County in the
Hands of Foreman & Chambers & the produce of five hundred and
six bushels of wheat in said County in the Hands of Colo Henry
estimated at one hundred and sixty eight hundreds & two quarters
seized by the Commissioners of Kent County therefore —
Ordered that the Commissary of Provisions for this State deliver
at Baltimore Town to said Messrs Ridley & Pringle four hundred &
sixty eight hundreds and seventeen pounds of merchantable flour
residue of the Flour seized in Baltimore Town and to deliver in Kent
County to said Ridley and Pringle three hundred and forty eight
hundreds and two quarters of like flour in lieu of the Flour and
Wheat seized in that County. —
