[William Clagett, Piscataway, To Colo John H. Stone, Annapolis.]
(By C. Landsdale)

My Brother informs me that he thinks the Council are in want
of Goods fit for Soldiers Cloathing, & has recommended it to me
to make you an offer of five pieces strong English Bearskin that
are exceeding Proper either for Coats or Blanketts. Two yards of
it is very sufficient for a good Blankett. I Inclose an Acct of them
on the lowest terms I can sell them and in case you incline to take
them you will please send me an order on the Sheriff of this County
for the Tobacco in payment by Charles Landsdale I will not dispose
of them till he returns.

Flower) I have also requested the Agents of the Bank to make me
a return of all Flower forwarded by them on that account, which
they have not yet done, though I dont look on it I have any right
(by the Law) to hold the Flower untill that is done, providing the

return ought to be made, and the Flower purchased by them apply'd
as part of the quota for this State — the wheat sent me the Last

Bread is nearly all Baked and will be packed and sent on in two weeks
from this date, so that by that time I shall be able to make a com-

through me by this state in the Last year, a return of which shall be
forwarded, and a Duplicate to the Board of War, Mr Baruch Wil-
