You will also want similar Supplies for the two Regiments of
Militia now rendezvousing, out of which I flatter myself numbers
will be enlisted to form the fourth and fifth upon the Continental
Establishment, which I should have no doubt of compleating, coud
the Credit of our Money be kept up, or an Advance of Specie be
made to enable me to push the recruiting Service with Spirit and
Vigour.
This business will also be greatly encourag'd and facilitated by
having Supplies of Cloathing ready for the equipment of the new
Recruits. I am therefore induced to inclose you the following Lists
of Articles which appear to be most essential to be procured imme-
diately.
NB. Money will be wanting for 150 Men lately enlisted in Addi-
tion to those for whom Money has been advanced to Mr Denny

[John Archer, Harford County, to His Excellency Thomas Sim
Lee Esqr] (Forwarded by Dr S. Crockett)

Doctr Samuel Crockett has a Desire of entering into the Con-
tinental Service as a Regimental Surgeon, should there be a Vacancy
in any of the Regiments of this State I would recommend him as a
Person well qualified to discharge the Duty of a Surgeon with
Honor & Integrity.
