Gentlemen of the Lower house of Assembly
It is a great satisfaction to me to find that you have come to a
Resolution of Presenting your Clerk for Approbation in the usual
Manner, and I am persuaded this Method so agreeable to and Con-
firmed by repeated Usage will never be thought to affect any real
Privilege of your house or the Rights of those you represent

This house met again according to Adjournment Messrs Hooper
and Scarburgh from the Lower house acquaint his Excellency their
house hath made choice of Mr Michael Macnemara for their Clerk
and hopes for his Excellencys Approbation, to whom his Excellency
is pleased to declare, that he doth approve of their choice thereupon
the said Michael Macnemara takes the Oaths to the Government
required by Law repeats and subscribes the Abjuration and Test &
also takes the usual Oath of Office.
