And thereupon the said Michael Macnemara takes the Oaths to
the Government Appointed to be taken by Act of Assembly sub-
scribed the Oath of Abjuration and Test & also took the Oath of
Clerk of the Lower house
In July Assembly 1731 Mr Dulany from the Lower house ac-
quaints his Excellency that the house hath appointed Mr William
Cuming to Act as the Clerk on behalf of Mr Michael Macnemara
during the Absence of him the said Macnemara and hopes for his
Excellencys Approbation, his Excellency is pleased to approve of
the said Mr Cuming who takes the Oaths to the Government ap-
pointed to be taken by Act of Assembly and subscribed Abjuration
and Test according to the directions of the Act aforesaid and also
took the Usual Oath of Office
In August Assembly 1731 Mr Beal and Mr Warfield from the
Lower house acquaint his Excellency that the house hath appointed
Mr Michael Macnemara their Clerk & hopes for his Excellencys
approbation his Excellency is Pleased to approve of the sd Mr Mac-
nemara who takes the Oaths to the Government appointed to be
taken by Act of Assembly and Subscribes the Abjuration and Test
according to the directions of the Act aforesaid and also took the
Usual Oath of Office

cys Approbation who is Pleased to approve of him the said Mac-
nemara and thereupon he takes the Oaths to the Government ap-
pointed to be taken by Act of Assembly & Subscribed the Abjura-
tion and Test and also takes the usual Oath of Office
In March Assembly 1734 Messrs Hammond and Hemsley from
the Lower house acquaint his Excellency that their house hath made
Choice of Mr Michael Macnemara for their Clerk and hopes for his
Excellencys approbation who approves of the said Macnemara and
thereupon he takes the Oaths to the Government appointed to be
taken by Act of Assembly and subscribes the Oath of Abjuration
and Test according to the directions of the said Act and also takes
the usual Oath of Office
In May Assembly 1738 Messrs Dulany and Denton from the
Lower house acquaint His Excellency that their house have made
Choice of Mr Michael Macnemara for Clerk and hopes for his Ex-
cellencys approbation to whom his Excellency is pleased to declare
that he. doth approve of Mr Michael Macnemara to be Clerk of the
Lower house
Messrs Dulany and Denton from the Lower house attend with
Mr Michael Macnemara Clerk of the said house in order to see him
Qualified, who takes the Oaths to the Government appointed to be
