from marching must be classed under the Law of the last Session,
because it directs the Lieutenant to distribute the Militia into as many
Classes &ca and they are and must be considered as part of the Militia

Monday 16th July 1781
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to William Gold-
smith two pounds fourteen shillings and nine pence half penny of
the Bills emitted under the " Act for the Emission of Bills of Credit
not exceeding two hundred thousand pounds &ca " due him per
Account passed by the Depy Aud.
That the said Treasurer pay to Cornelius Mills Twenty eight
pounds three shillings and three pence of the same Emission his
Allowance on the Journal of Accounts of May Session 1781.
That the said Treasurer pay to Lieut Henry Clements of the 5th
Reg. Ten pounds of the same Emission part of the money appro-
priated for the officers going to the Southward.
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt. John Courts Jones of the 4th
Regt Lieut Christopher Richmond of the 2d Regimt Major William
Stoddert, Capt. Richard Waters Capt. John Jordan, Lieut Isaac
Rawlings and Lieut John Chever, each, Twenty pounds of the same
Emission, part of the Money appropriated for the Officers going to
the Southward
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt. Alexander Trueman fifteen
Pounds of the same Emission part of the Money appropriated as
aforesaid.
That the said Treasurer pay to Lieut. Thomas Rouse Thirty
pounds of the same Emission part of the money appropriated as
aforesaid and also the further sum of six pounds, eighteen shillings
of the same Emission in lieu of Cloathing per Account passed by
the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to William Tuck thirty three pounds
twelve shillings of the same Emissions, part of the three thousand
pounds appropriated for the payment of Expresses &ca his allowance
on the Journal of May Session 1781
That the said Treasurer pay to John Shaw one hundred and twenty
five pounds, seventeen shillings and Seven pence half penny of the
same Emission part of the money appropriated as aforesaid due him
per Acct passed by the D. Aud.
That the said Treasurer pay to Joseph Brewer nine pounds eight
shillings and six pence of the same Emission part of the money
approd as aforesaid due him on the Journal of May Session 1781.
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Hannah May
and Mary Preston, each, fifteen shillings of the Bills emitted under
