That the said Treasurer pay to John Hood Twelve pounds five
shillings for the use of Ely Dorsey p Acct passed by the D. Aud.

That the Issuing Commissary deliver to Capt. William Reily six- :
teen Gallons of Rum and fifty four pounds sugar due him to the
1st Ins'
That the Commissary of Stores deliver to the said Captain William
Reily Cloth and Trimmings for a suit of Cloaths and Linen for two
shirts in part of the Articles for the prest year allowed by the G. Assy

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to William Sanders
Twenty five pounds due him per Account passed by the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to Caleb Burgess fifteen pounds
twelve shillings and one penny half penny due him p Acct passed by
the A. Gl
That the said Treasurer pay Benjamin Stoddert Esquire Two
thousand five hundred pounds of the new Emission in part of an
Order drawn by Major Genl Gates in favor of Colo Thomas Polk
dated the 14th Augt 1780 for one hundred thousand pounds Lawful
money of Virginia.
That the Armourer deliver to Capt. Maccubbin as much plank as
he may want for the accommodation of his Company going down the
Bay on an Expedition against the Enemy.
That the Commissary of Stores deliver to John Bullen for the use
of the soldiers under Innoculation in the Hospital nine Beds & nine
sheets

Warrant issued directed to Capt. Nicholas Maccubbin to impress a
Vessel with her hands &ca for the use of a Detachment of his Compy
of Select Militia going down the Bay on a Cruise against the Enemy.
Commission of Letters of Marque and Reprisal issued to William
Jones Commander of the Schooner Somerset one hundred and thirty
two Tons burthen, navigated by thirty Men mounting eight Carriage
Guns, belonging to John Sterett and Company of Baltimore Town
in the State of Maryland.

[Council to Capt Alexander Trueman.]

We request you to take under your Command and Directions such
a Detachment of regular Troops as will fully mann and arm the
State Boat Plater, the armed Boat Decoy and the State Barge we
have to Strengthen you, added another Boat and ordered forty Men
of the Select Militia on Board her which also are under your Com-
mand. You will without Delay proceed with those Vessels and the
Troops in Pursuit of the Enemy's Barges which we are informed
were discovered yesterday afternoon nearly opposite to the Mouth of
