We have received your Letter of the 25th relative to Provision for
the Militia but as the British Ships have all passed this Port and gone
down the Bay, we are fortunately releived at present from the Neces-
sity of keeping the Militia longer on Service and have accordingly
wrote to Genl Buchanan to discharge them.

will permit those of the Militia who can be entrusted and depended

You are hereby empowered and directed to impress ten sufficient
Horses for the Guard ordered to conduct the British Prisoners now
in this City to Frederick Town in Frederick County.

Ordered That the western shore Treasurer pay to Abraham
Lemaster eight hundred and thirty five pounds, two shillings and six
pence for the use of himself and his Company of Militia on Account.
That the said Treasurer pay to His Excellency Governor Lee one
thousand five hundred Dollars for the use of the Honble Daniel
Carroll Esqr on Acct
That the said Treasurer pay to William Hyde Twelve pounds for
the use of Doctr Michael Wallace due him per Account passed by the
Depy Aud.

Genl Hamilton has informed us that a Flag with Cloathing and
Money for the late Convention Troops stationed in Virginia and
Maryland has arrived at Hampton and requested Permission to land
them at George Town in Maryland, which we have granted so far
as concern the Troops in Maryland under certain restrictions and
referred him to your Excellency as to the Necessaries for the Troops
