Read the Second time the Bill Entituled an Act for the Enlarge-
ment of Baltimore Town in Baltimore County and other Purposes
therein mentioned, and will Pass the following Proviso being added
thereto.

Provided Nevertheless that this Act nor any thing herein Con-
tained shall Extend or be Construed to Extend to enable or capaci-
tate the said Commissioners or the Inhabitants of the said Town to
Elect and Choose Deligates or Burgisses to set in the General As-
sembly of this Province as Representatives of the said Town: But
it is hereby Enacted that the Commissioners or Inhabitants of the
said Town shall not Elect or Choose any Delegate or Delegates
Burgess or Burgesses to Represent the said Town in any General
Assembly of this Province, Sent to the Lower house by Edmund
Jenings Esqr

A Message from the Lower house by Messrs Harris and Dulany
By the Lower house of Assembly 8 July 1747
May it please Your honours This house concurs with all the
amendments proposed by Your Honours to the Bill Entituled an Act
for raising three pence Sterling p hhd on all Tobacco to be Ex-
ported for purchasing Arms and Ammunition &c. Except the Sallery
to the Armouror which this house is willing shall be Settled at
Twenty five Pounds Sterling p Annum to be Paid by the Treasurers
out of the money that will be raised by and the duration of the Bill
which this house cannot agree to alter, We therefore desire Your
Honours to Pass the Bill accordingly
