Read the Petition of Several People called Quakers Praying that
a Bill may be brought in to restrain all Persons Except licensed
Ordinary keepers from keeping any Booths or selling any Strong
Liquors within four Miles of the Place where the Yearly Meetings
are kept in Ann Arundel and Talbot Counties and to prevent the
Tumultuoris meeting of Negroes and other Slaves: Referred to the
Consideration of the Lower house of Assembly and Sent By Col
Plater
Read the Petition of Several Inhabitants of Baltimore Town in

June 16

Baltimore County Praying that a Bill may be brought in to Adjoyn
Eighteen Acres of Land or thereabouts to the said Town; and that
the same being Contiguous may be hereafter Deemed a part of the
said Town Referred to the Consideration of the Lower house of
Assembly and Sent by Col Plater
Adjourned till 3 of the Clock in the Afternoon

Messrs King and Dashiel from the Lower house Attended with
Major Robert Jenckins Henry a Member elected for Somerset
County in the Room of Mr Stoughton, who having accepted of the
Place of Deputy Naval Officer of Pocomoke his Election was by
the Lower house of Assembly Declared Void, in order to see the said
Mr Henry Qualified who takes the Several Oath to the Govern-
ment required by Law, repeats and subscribs the Abjuration and
Test and then withdrew.
Adjourned till three of the Clock in the afternoon
