A Message from the Lower house by Dr Carrol and Buchanan.
By the Lower house of Assembly 10 June 1747
May it Please Your honours Paper and Ink is wanting for the
Publick Use immediately and as there is a Ballance in the hands of
the Treasurer of the Western Shoar of this Province due to the
Publick and that the Publick Business may not be retained We pro-
pose that an order on the said Treasurer may be Drawn by the Clerk
of this house payable to Doctor Charles Carrol and Doctor George
Buchanan for the Sum of Ten Pounds Current Money to be laid out
in the Best manner for the purpose afd with such if Your house Con-
cures an Order will be Drawn accordingly

The following Message is sent by Edmund Jenings Esqre
By the Upper house of Assembly 10 June 1747
Gentlemen In Answer to Your Message by Doctor Carrol and
Doctor Buchanan for the Concurrence of this house to the applica-
tion of Ten Pounds Currency to Purchase Paper and Ink for the
Publick Use We acquaint you, that the Governor whose Concurrence
is Necessary for the application of Publick Money is not in Town
Yet as the application of the sum mentioned in Your Message is but
small and seems to be necessary to the Dispatch of the Publick Busi-
ness. We Concure with you for this Time in having the order you
mention Drawn & the Money Applied as you desire

ing leave to bring in a Bill to record a Deed of Bargain and Sale
from John Aubrey of Virginia to him the said John Hussey for a
Tract of Land Containing 30 Acres called Yates addition Rejected ;
it not appearing to this house that the Parties Interested in the said
Land have had Notice of this application
Adjourned till three of the Clock in the afternoon
