Messrs Brome and Mackall from the Lower House attend with
Mr Joseph Hall a Member Elected for Calvert County in Order to
see him qualified who takes the several Oaths to the Government
required by Law repeats and subscribes the Abjuration and Test
and then withdrew
His Excellency is pleased to communicate his Answer to the
Address of this House which Answer follows in these Words viz.
Gentlemen of the Upper House of Assembly
I thank You for Your Address which cannot but be very agreable
to me as it confirms me in the good Opinion I have of your Duty
and Affection to his Majesty and Zeal for his Service
