an Act continuing an Act of Assembly of this Province Entituled an
Act to prevent the ill .Practices of Sheriffs in the Collecting and
Payment of the Publick and County Levies thus Endorsed

Read the first Time in this House and Ordered to lie on the Table
Read the Petition of several the Inhabitants of Anne Arundel
County praying that A Work house may be erected in the said County
or some other Provision for the Publick Good as the Legislature
might think proper, And Read the Petition of the Rector Vestrymen
and Church Wardens of Christ Church Parish in Calvert County
praying that an Assessment may be laid upon the Inhabitants of
the said Parish to build them a Chappell of Ease instead of the old
one now gone to Decay Referred to the Consideration of the Lower
House of Assembly and sent by Samuel Chamberlain Esqr

Read the Petition of the Vestrymen and Church Wardens of
William and Mary Parish in Charles County complaining of many
Irregularities committed by Mr Nathaniel Marell the present Incum-
bent of the said Parish and praying Redress, Ordered that the said
Morell have a Copy of the said Petition and that he have Notice to
attend this House on the Wednesday the 2d of July next and Ordered
that the Vestry of the said Parish attend at the same time to make
good their Complaints against the said Morell
Adjourned till to Morrow Morning ten of the Clock

Assembly of this Province Entituled an Act to prevent the ill Prac-
tices of Sheriffs in the Collecting & Payment of the Publick and
County Levies; passed and sent by Daniel Dulany Esqr
A Bill from the Lower House by Messrs Stoughton and Bond
entituled an Act continuing an Act Entituled an Act for the speedy
