Messrs Carroll and Tilghman from the Lower House acquaint his
Excellency that there is a sufficient Number of Members met to make
a House and wait his Excellencys Commands
Edmund Jenings Esqr and Colo Hammond are sent to acquaint
the Lower House that his Excellency requires the Speaker and the
house to attend him in the Upper House
The Speaker and the Lower House attend and his Excellency is
pleased to make the following Speech
Gentlemen of the Upper and Lower houses of Assembly
This Unexpected Meeting You is occasioned by a Letter I very
lately received from his Grace the Duke of Newcastle Whereby he
