The House proceeds to appoint the following Committee Viz.
Mr Stoughton, Dr Carroll, Mr Philip Hammond, Mr Lloyd, Col.
Hooper, Maj. Hall, Mr Harris and Mr Key a Committee of Laws.
Mr Worthington, Mr Smallwood, Mr John Goldsborough, Capt.
Ennalls, & Col. Dashiel, a Committee of Elections and Privileges.
Dr Carroll, Mr Richard Gresham, Mr Paca, Col. Hooper, Mr Stod-
dert, and Mr John Goldsborough, a Committee of Aggrievances and
Courts of Justice.
Mr Wootton, Maj. Sheredine, Mr Worthington, and Col. Dashiel,
a Committee of Account?
Mr Wootton, Maj. Hall, Mr Thomas, Col. Hooper and Mr Addi-
son, a Committee to inspect the State and Condition of the Arms and
Ammunition, and Accounts relating thereto.
Ordered, that the Committee of Laws prepare an Address to the
Governor, in Answer to his Speech.
Capt. Gordon acquaints Mr Speaker, that he had administered the
Oaths to the Government to Mr Thomas Iobson and Mr Thomas
Sparrow; that they had signed the Oath of Abjuration, repeated and
signed the Test, and taken the usual Oath of Office
Mr Philip Hammond, from the Committee of Laws, acquaints
Mr Speaker, that the Committee had made choice of Mr Vachel
Denton to be their Clerk: The House approves the Choice.
Col. Hooper from the Committee of Aggrievances &a acquaints
Mr Speaker, that the Committee had made choice of Mr William
Wilkins to be their Clerk: The House approves the Choice.
Col. Dashiel from the Committee of Accounts acquaints Mr
Speaker, that the Committee had made choice of Mr Richard Dorsey
for their Clerk: The House approves the Choice.
Capt. Gordon is ordered to qualify Mr Denton, Mr Wilkins, and
Mr Dorsey.
Resolved, That the Hours of sitting, this Session, be from Nine
to Twelve in the Morning and from Two to Five in the Afternoon.
Capt. Gordon acquaints Mr Speaker, that he had administered the

Ordered, that Mr Worthington acquaint the Rev. Mr Gordon, that

Eight in the Morning, and Five in the Evening, during this Session.
