wife, to Mordecai Moore Physician, for one Moiety of a Tract of
Land called Mitchels Chance. And also into the several Facts set
forth in the Petition of Elizabeth Hanson of Charles County, pray-
ing leave to bring in a Bill to confirm a Deed of Bargain and Sale,
from James Connell and Anne his wife of St. Mary's County, to
John Dunbar of the same County, for a Tract of Land containing
One Hundred Acres, lying in Charles County, do find the same to
be true, All which is humbly submitted to the Consideration of the
House Signed per Order, Thomas Jennings Ci. Com.
Which being read, the Petitions mentioned in the said Report, are
granted
Col. Hooper brings in a Bill to prohibit raising of Swine and
Geese in the Town of Cambridge in Dorchester County, which was
read the first Time, and Ordered to lie on the Table.
The House adjourns until To morrow morning at 9 of the Clock

September .

Wednesday Morning, September 4, 1745

The House met according to Adjournment, and the Proceedings
of Yesterday were read.
Mr Wootton appears in the House.
Mr Speaker communicates to the House the following Message
from his Excellency with Accounts relating to the Building of a
House for the Governor.
Gentlemen of the Lower House of Assembly
I send you the Account of what money I have received from the
Paper Currency Office, for the building a Governor's House, what
Disbursements have been made, and what remains due to my self,
and to Patrick Creagh T. Bladen
A Bill entituled, A supplementary and additional Act to the Act
entituled, an Act for erecting a Town on the North Side of Potapsco
in Baltimore County, and for laying out in Lots sixty Acres of Land
in and about the Place where John Fleming now lives: And to an
Act entituled, An Act for erecting a Town on a Creek divided on the
East from the Town lately laid out in Baltimore County, called Bal-
timore Town, on the Land whereon Edward Fell keeps Store: Was
read the first Time, and ordered to lie on the Table.
Mr Speaker communicates to the House the following Message
from the Governor, viz.
Gentlemen of the Lower House of Assembly,
I am sorry that my Message in answer to your former Address,
concerning the Pound of Tobacco per Taxable, is not satisfactory to
you; but as I believe that Dissatisfaction has proceeded from Inat-
tention to the Acts you mention in your last Address, I am in hopes
