Monday Morning August 26. 1745
The House met according to Adjournment. All members present
as on Saturday except Mr Smallwood and Mr Thomas Hammond
The Proceedings of Saturday were read.
Mr Barns appears in the House
The Bill entituled, An Act for the Tryall of all matters of Fact in
the several Counties where they have arisen or shall arise, was read
the first Time, and ordered to lie on the Table.
On Motion of a Member, that a Bill be brought in for enlarging
the Allowance made to Iurors summoned to attend the Provincial
Court, Leave given and Ordered, That the Committee of Laws pre-
pare and bring in the same.
The Bill for laying out the Town a new commonly called Princess
Anne Town in Somerset County; was read the second Time, passed,
and sent to the Upper House, by William Stoughton Esqre and
Capt. Dennis.
On motion of a member for Leave to bring in a Bill for erecting
a Publick School in Worcester County; Leave given
