A Bill from the Lower House by Messrs Wilkinson and Wilson
Entituled an Act impowering Mary Stokes Widow and Executrix
of Humphry Wells Stokes of Baltimore County Gent deceased to
sell and dispose of the Lands and Tenements therein mentioned to
be sold for the Uses and Purposes therein directed thus endorsed
By the Lower House of Assembly 28 May 1744
Read the first and second time by an especial Order and will pass
Signed p Order M Macnemara Cl Lo Ho.
Read the first time in this House and Ordered to lie on the Table
Adjourned till to Morrow Morning ten of the Clock

This House met again according to Adjournment
Present as Yesterday with the Addition of Colo Edward Lloyd
Read the Petition of Robert [F]loyd a languishing Debtor in
Queen Anns County Goal praying Relief; referred to the Considera-
tion of the Lower House of Assembly and sent by Colo Lloyd
Read the second time the Bill entituled an Act impowering the
Vestrymen and Church Wardens of King Georges Parish in Prince
Georges County to Purchase three Acres of Land in the said Parish
to build a Chappell of Ease on, and to impower the Justices of
Prince Georges County to levy on the Taxable Inhabitants of the
said Parish in the said County the sum of 8oo£ Current Money for
the uses therein mentioned, and the Bill entituled an Act impowering
Mary Stokes Widow and Executrix of Humphry Wells Stokes of
Baltimore County Gent deceased to sell and dispose of the Lands and
Tenements therein mentioned to be sold for the Uses and Purposes
therein directed; passed and sent by Daniel Dulany Esqr
Adjourned till three of the Clock in the Afternoon

Colo Plater from the Committee appointed to inspect the Ac-
counts and Proceedings of the Commissioners for emitting Bills of
Credit delivers to the House the following Report.
