This house met again according to Adjournment

Present as in the Morning with the Addition of Samuel Chamber-
lain & Philip Thomas Esqrs
Messrs Calder and Pearce attend with Mr George a Member elected
for Cecill County and Captn Gordon a Member elected for the City of
Annapolis in order to see them qualified, who take the Oaths to the
Government appointed to be taken by Act of Assembly and sub-
scribe the Abjuration and Test & then withdrew
Adjourned till to Morrow Morning ten of the Clock

A Bill from the Lower house by Messrs Worthington & Martin
Entituled An Act reviving an Act of Assembly of this Province
Entituled An Act for the speedy Recovery of small Debts out of
Court before a single Justice of the Peace thus Endorsed
By the Lower House of Assembly 24 Septemr 1742
Read the first time & ordered to lye Cl Lo H.
By the Lower house of Assembly 27 Septemr 1742
Read the second time and will pass
Signed p Order M Macnemara Cl Lo H.

Read the first time in this house & Ordered to lye on the Table
Messrs Worthington & Hall from the Lower house attend with
Mr Philip Hammond a Member elected for Ann Arundel County
in Order to see him qualified, who takes the Oaths to the Govern-
ment appointed to be taken by Act of Assembly of this Province &
subscribes the Abjuration & Test and then withdrew
Adjourned till 3 of the Clock in the Afternoon
