The House met according to Adjournment &ca
An Ingrossed Bill, entituled An Act for raising and issuing Money
for maintaining his Majestys Forces to be raised in this Province
and for Transporting them to the Place of Rendezvous in the West
Indies, was Read and Assented to, and sent to the Upper House by
Mr Smith and twelve more.
An Ingrossed Bill entituled An Act for the Indemnity of such
Persons as shall be employed in Transporting his Majestys Forces
to be raised in this Province to the general Rendezvous in the West
Indies was read and Assented to, and sent to the Upper House by
Colo Hanson and Mr Weems — the following message (See page 22)
Sent to the Upper House by Mr Magruder and Mr Rumsey

July 19

Saturday Morning July 19th 1740
The House met according to Adjournment.
Philip Lee Esqr from the Upper House delivers Mr Speaker the
following message (See page 22)

The Journal of Accounts was Read and Assented to and sent
to the Upper House by the Gentlemen of that Committee
The House Adjourns to 2 of the Clock in the Afternoon

Sent to the Upper House with the Address sent thence by Colo
Hanson and Mr Harris
The Address to his most Excellent Majesty was brought into
the House Ingrossed which was signed on Behalf, and by Order of
the House, by the Honourable Speaker
Ordered that the Speaker transmit the Address of this House to
his Majesty by the first safe Conveyance to the Agent at London
employed by the House of Delegates, in order to be Presented to his
most Sacred Majesty: and that he write to the said Agent requir-
ing his Care to have the Address presented in the most proper

manner, and that he also transmit by another safe Conveyance the
Duplicate And that the said Agent charge the House of Delegates
the expences which shall attend Presenting the said Address
The House Adjourns to Monday Morning at nine of the Clock
