The Deposion of M^r Tho: Bradnox Aged 58 yeares or there-
abouts, sworne examined saith Sept. 16^th 1657 That about three
yeares last past, Isacke Iline did acknowledge in this depon^ts house
That Capt. Stone did pswade M^r Francis Brookes of Mariland to
let the s^d Iline Enjoy the Plantacon th^t was vpon the Isle of Kent,
That is the s^d Brookes his Prop^r right in Consideracon th^t the s^d Iline
had Built A pretty House vpon the fores^d Plantacon Comonly Called
Beaver necke And ttt the s^d Iline did Acknowledge th^t he was to pay
to the s^d Brookes for Acknowledgm^t for one year A Case of sacke &
ffurther saith not.

Know all men by these p^rsents That I John Salter of the Isle of
Kent Count, in the Province of Mariland Plant, doe Appoint &
ordaine John Coursey Gent, in my stead to be my true & Law full
Atturny, in all Causes & suites Commenst or to be Commenst against
any w^thin the said Province, for me & in my behalfe to Arrest sue
Implead, Imprison, & againe out of prison to release, to receive for
me & to my vse, what goods or Tob shall be to me Lawfully Recorded
& to give discharge or discharges in my name & this to stand to all
Law full Intents & Purposes whatsoeuer, Witnesse my hand this 7^th

Sheweth
That whereas this Pet^r agreed & bargained w^th francis Brookes
of Mariland sometime in July 1654 for A Plant" comonly Called by
the name of Bever Necke, And after this Pet^r had received Peacable
& quiet Posion of the s^d Land & did in like maner Enjoy the same for

resident likewise vpon the s^d Plantac. by the pmition & desire of the
s^d Brookes vpon this Agreem^t with this Peti^r for the said Land,
