several of the Journals of the said House were missing and not to
be found on Record in the said Office, or elsewhere. It was then
Ordered, that Your Remonstrant should Collect and Record such
as could be found for which a reasonable Satisfaction was to be
allowed him.

That in Obedience to the Order aforesaid, and on Information that
many of the Journals of the Lower House were in the Provincial
Office in loose Sheets Your Remonstrant applied to the Honourable
Edmund Jenings Esqr Secretary, and informed him of the said
Order, and requested him to let Your Remonstrant have what

Journals could be found in the Secretary's Office That he might
Transcribe them upon which Edmund Jenings Esqr told your
Remonstrant that he would not part with any Journals out of the
Secretarys Office by Virtue of any such Order
Of all which your Remonstrant humbly informs this Honourable

The Bill, entituled, A Supplementary Act to the Act, entituled
An Act for the Direction of Sheriffs in their Offices, and restraining
their ill Practices within this Province, was read the second time and
will not pass
The House Adjourns to Two of the Clock in the Afternoon

The House Adjourns to the Morrow Morning at nine of the Clock

On Reading a second time the Bill entituled, An Act for the Trial
