An Ingrossed bill Entituled an Act for Encouragement of Abra-
ham Wood of Saint Marys County to bild Mills read and assented to
and sent to the upper house with the paper bill by M^r Aisquith and
M^r Smallwood. on Reading the Petition of William Radcliffe pray-
ing an Allowance for a Negro Slave who being apprehended and
Committed for the Murther of another Slave died in Goal before
Conviction. The Question was put whether the Petitioner be Al-
lowed for the Slave that Died in Goal or not.
Resolved in the Negative.
