Your Conferees upon considering the Bill Entituled an Act for
the Ease and Encouragement of Settlers in the remote and back
parts of this Province and the Amendments proposed by the Lower
house to the same, the Members of the Upper house upon this Com-
mittee made their Objections to the said Amendments, which being
Communicated to the Lower house by the members of this Com-
mittee, It was the Opinion of that house that they could not Recede
from their said Amendments.
