Inhabitants of This Province and to raise the Credit of our Cur-
rency and ample Provision Made to give his Lordship an Equivalent
without Burthening Trade in Consequence of this opinion we have
Addressed his Lordship and offered him such a Sum as we Humbly
Conceive to be a Just Equivalent and hope will be agreeable to his
Lordship for his Quit Rents and Alienation fines which Address we
begg your Excellency will please to Transmit to his Lordship and
that you will be so good as to Joyn your Interest and good Offices
with This House to Complete the Agreement which we hope will
Appear to be no way prejudicial to his Lordships Interest and
which we Believe would be a very great ease to his Tennants.
We are Encouraged to make this Application to your Excellency
from the Experience we have had of your Constant readiness to
do every thing in your Power that might Contribute to the Welfare
of the People of Maryland.

missioners or Trustees for Emitting the Bills of Credit &c. [See

Read The first and Second time by an Especial order Passed and
was Sent to the Upr House by Col Ward and Mr Hall
Col Hammond from the Upr House Delivers Mr Speaker the Bill
Entituled an Act for the Payment of the Publick Levy Indorsed
[See page 434.]
Which Bill was read here and passed for Ingrossing.
The House Adjourned untill 2 of the Clock in the afternoon
Post Merediem. The House met according to Adjournment
all present as in the morning.
An Ingrossed Bill Entituled an Act for the Payment of the
Publick Levy read and Assented to and Sent to the Upr House with
The paper Bill by Col Dashiels.
The Address to the Lord Proprietary and the address to his
Excellency the Governour being Ingrossed and prepared.
Col Gale and Mr Smith ordered to acquaint the Governour There-
with and to Know when and where he will receive them they Return
and Acquaint Mr Speaker the Governour is ready to receive Them
Immediately in the Conference Chamber.
George Plater Esqr from the Upr Ho. Delivers Mr Speaker the
Paper Bill Entituled an Act for the Payment of the Publick Levy.
Indorsed by the Upr Ho. of Assembly

May 6th 1736.

The Ingrossed Bill whereof this is the Originall is read and As-
sented to.
