Present as yesterday
Seven Engrossed Bills from the Lower house by M^rs Hooper and
Sprigg One Entituled An Act for Erecting a Town in Kent County
on the South side of Sassafras River on a tract of Land called
Tolechester at the Place where the ferry is now kept,
2^d An Act Enabling the Comm^rs or Trustees of the Paper Cur-
rency Office to pay to the Representatives of several Counties the
sum of five hundred Pounds Each.
3^d A Supplementary Act to an Act Entituled an Act for the Tryal
of all Matters of fact in the Counties where they have arisen or shall
arise the Continuance of Causes in the Provincial Court & Adjourn-
ment of that Court and for continuing the same.
4. An Act to alter the time for holding the Assizes and Provincial
Courts and to appoint the s^d Courts to be held at the times therein
mentioned.
5. An Act for the further Assesment of twenty thousand Pounds
of Tobacco on the taxable Inhabitants of Durham Parish in Charles
County to be applied to the finishing of a new Church in the said
Parish already begun to be built
6. An Act to prevent the false packing of Tob^o and concerning
the Tare of Tobacco hogsheads
7. An Act for building a Publick Goal in Annapolis, severally
thus subscribed
