Besides there will be no part of the Bills of Credit Left to Answer
any Publick Charge however pressing the Occasion may be which
your Conferees Conceive ought and may be Provided for now with
Greater Ease to the People, by Adding to the Sume to be Emitted
in Bills of Credit, than by any other means whatsoever
Your Conferees therefore propose that there be a Duty of 15d
Sterling p hhd and in proportion of any other Quantity instead
of 12d and that there be Emitted in Bills of Credit a Sum not
Exceeding in all

This Sum will be Sufficient to Answer all the Ends
proposed by Emitting Bills of Credit, and have a
Considerable Sum to purchase Bills of Exchange

lent on Interest, which when lent will produce an
Interest p Annum of

This Interest will be more than Sufficient to Defray all the Expence
of the whole Transaction and keep the Capital entire
Your Conferees propose that no bills be Struck for less than a
Shilling, which Sort and Eighteen penny Bills will Render the Strik-
ing Six penny Bills needless, save some Expence, and make Change
and Carriage more Easy and Convenient; and that the Bills be as
