A Message from the Lower House by Mr Harris and Mr Hanson.

By the Lower House of Assembly July the 15th 1731.

May it please Your Honours
This House being of Opinion that Emitting Bills of Creditt for a
Certain Sume to be Limited by Act of Assembly will be of great
Service to this Province, and that a bill for that purpose may be
best prepared by a Committee of both Houses proposed to Appoint
some of this House to Joyn with some Members of Yours, as your
Honors will please to Appoint to prepare a bill for that purpose

A bill from the lower House by Mr Smith and Mr Skinner En-
tituled an Act impowering the Justices of Calvert County to Levy
on the Taxable persons of that County any sume of Tobacco not
Exceeding Ten Thousand pounds of Tobacco to pay for the finish-
ing the Court House of the sd County thus Endorsed.

By the Lower House of Assembly 15th July 1731
Read the first & second time by an Especial Order and will Pass.

House by Collo Ward.

Gentlemen
In Answer to your Message of this afternoon by Mr Harris & Mr
Hanson this House doth think it a more Parliamentary Method for
you to prepare a Bill in the usuall form in Your House for the pur-
poses intended by Your sd Message which when sent up to us Will
be maturely considered of.
