This House met again according to Adjournment. Present
as yesterday
An Engrost bill from the Lower house by M^r Stourton &
M^r Dashiel Entituled An Act to Confirm a Marriage Agree-
ment heretofore made betwixt Randall Revell Sen^r and Kath-
erine his wife on the behalfe of Randall Revell Jun^r and
Sarah his wife and to Invest the heirs of the said Sarah with
an Estate of Fee Tail Gen^ll according to the said Agree-
ment thus Subscribed viz.
July the 19^th 1726
Read and Assented to by the Lower house of Assembly and
Signd p order M. Jenifer Cl Lo Ho.

Which being Read and assented to by this house is Ordered
to be so Subscribed and the paper Bill so Endorst was sent
down to the Lower house by Jn^o Hall Esq^r

The following message was prepared and sent to the Lower
House by John Hall Esq^r which is as followeth Viz.

By the Upper House of Assembly July the 19^th 1726
Gentlemen.

It having been represented to this House that several Con-
victs have lately attempted (by way of Monokosey) to make
their Escapes and may probably seduce others to follow their
Example and also that Sundry negroes have and may by the
same way make their Escape to the Shuano town to the great
prejudice of the Proprietors and seeing the late Law for
taking up negroes is not Comprehensive enough to prevent
their Escape, It is recommended to your house to Consider
of some further means that may be more Effectual to prevent
the aforesaid Evills and also give a Suitable reward for the
