And was Sent to the Upper House by Mr Turbutt and Mr
Fisher, who return and Say they have Delivered it.
A Supplementary Bill to the Act for Ascertaining the
bounds of Land was Read with the Amendments and past
and being so Endorst was sent to the Upper House by Mr
Lee and the rest of the Committee of Law.
Who return and Say They have Delivered it. A Bill
against Buying and Selling of Offices, and to prevent Cor-
ruption in Officers being read the first and Second Times by
Especial Order. Will pass which was Endorst and Sent to
the Upper House by Mr Crabb and Mr Earle.
Who return and Say they have Delivered it.
The House Adjourns till to morrow morning nine of the
Clock.

Tuesday Morning October the 25th 1720.

The House meets According to Adjournment.
Yesterdays Proceedings are Read. A Supplementary Bill to
the Act Laying an Imposition on negroes &c. was read the
first and second Times by Especial Order and Will pass,
which being so Endorst was Sent to the Upper House by Mr
Lee and three Others.
Who return and say they have Delivered it. Collo Addison
from the Upper House Delivers Mr Speaker the Bill agst
Buying and Selling of Offices, and to Prevent Corrupcon in
Officers. Thus Endorst Viz.

By the Upper House of Assembly Octor the 25th 1720.

Read and Will Pass.

Which being read again Past for Engrossing and was sent
to the Comittee of Laws to Be Engrost.
An Engrost Bill against Buying and Selling of Offices and to
prevent Corruption in Officers is Read and Ordered to be thus
Endorst viz:

Read and Assented to by the Lower house of Assembly and
Signed p Order Ml Jenifer Cl: Lo: Ho :

And was Sent to the Upper House by Capt Codd and Mr
Hanson They return and say they have Delivered it.
